Accessibility statement

WCAG 2.1 Level AA is our target. We test with NVDA, VoiceOver, and keyboard-only navigation on every release. Known gaps and the channel to flag new ones are listed below.

1. Our commitment

InvestingPro is committed to digital accessibility for people with disabilities. Under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act 2016 (RPwD Act) and the corresponding Rules 2017, every Indian online service must take reasonable steps to be accessible. We target full WCAG 2.1 Level AA conformance and continually work to close known gaps.

2. Current conformance status

InvestingPro is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. “Partially conformant” means some parts of the content do not yet fully meet the standard — see Known limitations below for the specifics we are working on.

Standard targeted: WCAG 2.1 Level AA

Last audit: 2026-04 (internal axe-core sweep + manual keyboard pass)

Audit cadence: Every major release + a quarterly full pass

Audit tooling: axe-core, Lighthouse, Playwright keyboard-only flows, NVDA + VoiceOver manual checks

3. Accessibility features

  • Keyboard navigation support across the entire site (tab, shift-tab, enter, space, esc)
  • Screen-reader compatibility (tested with NVDA on Windows and VoiceOver on macOS/iOS)
  • Skip-to-main-content link on every page
  • Resizable text up to 200% without loss of functionality
  • Clear and persistent focus indicators on interactive elements
  • Descriptive link text and meaningful image alt attributes
  • Semantic HTML5 markup and ARIA landmarks for major sections
  • Light and dark mode with WCAG-compliant contrast ratios
  • No motion-triggered or rapid-flashing animations
  • Form fields with explicit labels, error messages tied to fields via aria-describedby

4. Known limitations

We have identified the following limitations and are actively working on them:

  • Complex chart visualisations on calculator pages need full alt-text descriptions and a data-table fallback. In progress for Q3 2026.
  • Third-party affiliate-network content (Cuelinks / EarnKaro landing pages) may not be fully accessible. We have raised the issue with both networks.
  • Legacy PDFs (a few older policy PDFs from before 2025) may not be tagged for screen readers. We are migrating content to HTML.
  • Some auto-generated programmatic pages use category-derived headings that may not strictly match WCAG H1 uniqueness — being addressed in the v3 redesign rollout.

5. Compatible assistive technologies

We test against this combination set. Other AT/browser combinations may also work but are not officially supported:

  • Windows: NVDA + Chrome / Edge / Firefox
  • macOS: VoiceOver + Safari / Chrome
  • iOS: VoiceOver + Safari
  • Android: TalkBack + Chrome

6. Technical specifications

Accessibility of InvestingPro relies on the following technologies to work with your browser and assistive technology:

  • Semantic HTML5
  • WAI-ARIA 1.2
  • CSS3 (no critical content rendered via CSS pseudo-elements only)
  • JavaScript (React + Next.js); core navigation works without JS for crawlers and degraded environments

7. Feedback & escalation

If you encounter an accessibility barrier on InvestingPro, please tell us. We treat accessibility feedback with priority and aim to acknowledge within 2 business days and resolve or give a clear timeline within 14 days.

Email: accessibility@investingpro.in

When reporting, please include: the URL, the assistive technology and browser you were using, and a description of the barrier.

Response SLA: 2 business days acknowledgement · 14 days for resolution or timeline

If our response is not satisfactory, you can escalate via /grievance and ultimately to the Office of the Chief Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities (CCPD) under the RPwD Act 2016.
