Calculation: monthly spend × 12 × per-category reward rate, summed, minus annual fee (waived if your annual spend exceeds the issuer's waiver threshold). Excludes welcome bonuses, capped bonus rewards beyond fixed monthly limits, and joining fee. Update quarterly.

How this works

For each card, we apply its publicly-disclosed reward rate per category to your spend, sum across categories, and subtract the annual fee (or zero it out if your spend qualifies for the issuer's fee-waiver threshold). The highest net annual reward wins.

What we DON'T factor in (intentionally — these vary too much): welcome bonuses (one-time), milestone bonuses (above ₹X spend), discounted partner offers (irregular), and lifestyle perks (lounge access, golf, concierge).

Reward rates are sourced from issuer T&Cs as of May 2026 and updated quarterly. See our full methodology.
