FAQ

What is the SBI Card credit card customer care number?
The 24×7 SBI Card credit card customer care number is 1860 180 1290 / 39 02 02 02 (prefix STD code). Available all days for billing queries, dispute filing, statement requests, and general support. For lost/stolen card reporting, use 1800 180 1290 (option 2).
How do I report a fraudulent transaction on my SBI credit card?
Report fraud immediately via customercare@sbicard.com / 1800 180 1290. Under RBI's Limited Liability circular (July 2017), if you report unauthorised electronic transactions within 3 working days, your liability is zero. Between 4-7 days, liability is capped at ₹5,000-25,000 depending on card tier. After 7 days, liability is uncapped.
Can I email SBI for credit card support?
Yes. Email customercare@sbicard.com with your card number's last 4 digits + registered mobile number for any non-urgent query. Response SLA is typically 24-48 hours. For time-sensitive issues (fraud, lost card, EMI conversion request), phone is faster.
Is there a separate NRI helpline for SBI credit cards?
Yes. NRIs can call +91 22 6193 7187 from outside India (paid international call). The NRI desk handles NRE/NRO account-linked credit cards, foreign-currency billing queries, and OCI cardholder issues. Indian-resident customers should use the standard 24×7 line 1860 180 1290 / 39 02 02 02 (prefix STD code).
What if SBI customer care doesn't resolve my issue?
Escalation ladder: (1) ask for a complaint reference number on the first call. (2) If unresolved in 7 days, escalate via email to customercare@sbicard.com. (3) Escalate to the bank's Principal Nodal Officer (published on the bank website). (4) If still unresolved after 30 days, file a complaint with the RBI Banking Ombudsman via cms.rbi.org.in — it's free and resolution is typically within 30 days.
